Singapore's Jurong Bird Park is one of the my favourite places. As a bird lover, it is simply a joy to be able to experience the diverse world of birds in one place. If you're ever in Singapore, this is one place you don't want to miss! Among the many enclosures is my favourite - the Asian Bird Enclosure - where Pekin Robins, Green Leafbirds, Silver Ear Mesias, Bali Mynas, and many other birds will fly down to your hands to grab mealworms that you can buy to feed them! Simply Avian Heaven on Earth! |

The WWF is an amazing organisation with chapters in many countries throughout this world. They also have programmes that aim to save the panda, the coral reefs, the tiger, the Asian elephants and rhinos - two animals that I love, and many others. WWF even has a chapter in Singapore now and I am excited to see what they will do in this concrete jungle to educate and conserve what little we have. |

Mission is a small town in British Columbia where my parents have settled. It's laid back, quiet yet boasts quite some culture and a diverse population. While it is honestly a lovely place to visit, it's a bit slow and way too rural for me. However, those who love that pace of life will find that Mission to be heaven on earth. Take a look for yourself and you might just find a piece of your very own heaven there. |

For the past 30 years, millions of lives have been savagely shortened by this disease. Learn more about it, learn how to protect yourself from it and why we do not have to be hateful to those who may be infected.
Action for AIDS is the non-profit agency in Singapore that deals with HIV/AIDS education/prevention and other advocacy. For as much as they have to overcome, AfA does a pretty good job wtih their work in Singapore. |

In addition to HIV/AIDS prevention/education/treatment/cure, another battle I strongly support is the one against Breast Cancer. We lose so many grandmothers, mothers, sisters and friends to this disease every year. The following are some groups that are doing their best to educate women about breast cancer and early detection:
Susan B Komen Foundation
Singapore Breast Cancer
Foundation
Pink Ribbon
